He is described by News18 as the “architect of modern close combat,” and is cited by the Ministry of Defence as a pioneer of close-quarter battle training, with his innovations becoming part of structured training doctrine. He is among only six personalities to have received an honorary commission from the President of India, reflecting rare national recognition.
